My Turn Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the My Turn website, platform, applications, communications, and transportation services.

By accessing or using My Turn services, you agree to be bound by these Terms, the My Turn Privacy Policy & Cookies Policy, the My Turn Zero Tolerance & Conduct Policy, and related operational policies incorporated by reference.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you should not access or use My Turn services.

1. Service Overview

My Turn provides pre-scheduled transportation services for school-aged children between verified locations, including schools, activity centers, and homes.

My Turn is not an on-demand transportation service. Ride availability is based upon structured routing, operational capacity, and planned participation.

My Turn operates company-managed vehicles that are dual-staffed by trained transportation personnel.

For purposes of these Terms, “transportation personnel” may include Ride Captains, Ride Coaches, operational staff, contractors, volunteers, or authorized representatives of My Turn.

My Turn is a transportation provider and not a childcare provider, emergency transportation provider, school district transportation department, or transportation network company.

My Turn does not assume custodial responsibility beyond the transportation services provided.

2. Eligibility & Account Responsibility

Accounts must be created and managed exclusively by a parent or legal guardian.

By creating or maintaining an account, you represent and warrant that you:

  • Are at least 18 years of age

  • Have legal authority to act on behalf of the registered child(ren)

  • Will provide accurate, current, and complete information

Parents and guardians are responsible for maintaining accurate rider, medical, emergency, custody, and release information.

3. Scheduling & Service Structure

All rides must be scheduled in advance through approved My Turn systems.

Service availability is based upon:

  • Structured routing

  • Verified locations

  • Operational capacity

  • Geographic service areas

  • Rider demand and routing efficiency

Pickup and drop-off times are estimates and may vary due to weather, traffic, staffing, rider readiness, emergencies, technology interruptions, or other operational conditions.

My Turn does not guarantee exact arrival or completion times.

4. Parent & Guardian Responsibilities

Parents and guardians are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate rider information

  • Ensuring riders are prepared for pickup

  • Maintaining accurate release instructions

  • Communicating relevant medical, behavioral, custody, or safety information

For home drop-offs, parents must designate:

  • A verified adult authorized to receive the child; or

  • An approved independent release authorization

Upon completion of a verified release or authorized drop-off, responsibility transfers to the parent, guardian, or designated receiving party.

My Turn reserves the right to refuse, delay, modify, or deny transportation services when conditions are determined to be unsafe, legally concerning, or operationally inappropriate.

5. Safety & Operational Policies

My Turn maintains separate operational and safety policies governing transportation services.

These policies, including the My Turn Zero Tolerance & Conduct Policy, pickup and release procedures, cancellation policies, rider requirements, and incident response procedures, are incorporated into these Terms by reference.

Parents and guardians are responsible for reviewing current policies published through the official website of My Turn.

6. Payments & Fees

Use of My Turn services requires payment for scheduled participation.

By using the service, you authorize My Turn and its payment providers to process applicable service fees and approved payment methods.

Specific pricing, cancellation deadlines, credits, and ride participation policies are defined in separate operational policies.

7. Right to Refuse or Terminate Services

My Turn reserves the right to refuse, suspend, restrict, or terminate transportation services or platform access when reasonably necessary to protect:

  • Rider safety

  • Staff safety

  • Operational integrity

  • Legal compliance

  • Vehicles or property

  • Public safety

Nothing in these Terms guarantees transportation availability or continued participation.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, My Turn shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages, service interruptions, delays, or events outside reasonable operational control.

Total liability, if any, shall not exceed the amount paid for applicable services during the relevant service period.

9. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed in accordance with the laws of the State of North Carolina.

10. Updates to Terms

Updated versions will be published through the official website of My Turn.

Continued use of services following publication constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
